Working in the road corridor? Start here.
Register, lodge your corridor access request and traffic management plan, and see who else is working nearby. One account covers every road authority you work with.
Is my road authority on myWorksites?
Search for the road authority you're working with. State highways everywhere in New Zealand are on myWorksites through NZTA.
Town and suburb names from the LINZ NZ Gazetteer (CC BY 4.0); council boundaries from Stats NZ.
Your first application in three steps
-
1. Register your organisation
Add your team. One account covers every road authority you work with, and your colleagues can see and pick up each other's work.
Registering and logging in about 1. Register your organisation -
2. Draw the worksite and lodge the CAR
A guided form checks as you go, so the application arrives complete and the road authority doesn't have to come back to you.
Corridor access requests about 2. Draw the worksite and lodge the CAR -
3. Attach or build your TMP and submit
Reuse and revise TMPs rather than rebuilding them. Working across two RCAs? Add the second RCA to the same TMP. You don't submit twice.
Traffic management plans about 3. Attach or build your TMP and submit

Once you're registered, check the planning map for other work nearby before you submit. If someone else has the road booked, their contact details are on the worksite. Ring them and sort it out early. The cheapest conflict is the one that never gets approved.

For training managers
New staff learn the council process, not the software. The online training portal takes a new planner from registration to their first approved application, and the help centre covers the rest. Contractors tell us someone who knew nothing about the system can get going quickly, because what you're teaching is how corridor access works, not how to use a tool.
