Selwyn District Council

Joining the Canterbury network

Selwyn District Council went live on myWorksites in July 2026, joining Christchurch and the state highways on one platform across a shared, fast-growing corridor.

Why Selwyn moved

Selwyn is one of New Zealand's fastest-growing districts, and its road network is tied closely to Christchurch and to the state highways that run through it. The same contractors work across all three. With Christchurch and NZTA already on myWorksites, Selwyn was the gap in the picture for anyone working across the boundary.

Onboarding

Selwyn signed a three-year agreement and went live in July 2026, at the start of the financial year. Onboarding covered configuration of the network, conditions and fees, single sign-on for Council staff, staff training and local contractor onboarding, followed by 60 days of hyper-care.

What it means for the region

A contractor working on a job that crosses from Rolleston into Christchurch and onto a state highway now deals with one platform and one account. Each road authority still makes its own decisions on its own network, but they can all see what is happening next door.
