Lead Engineer

Tineke Corin

Tineke is myWorksites' senior technical authority: she owns architecture decisions, sets the code review standards and technical conventions the rest of the team is measured against, and holds the bar on security practice, hiring, and incident response.

Tineke holds a BCMS (Hons) from the University of Waikato ('97) and is currently a little over halfway through a Master of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Canterbury.

Before myWorksites, her career quietly touched several waves of NZ tech: embedded C for GPS devices (before it was in every phone), digital music downloads (before streaming existed), algorithmic trading and finance, B2B exchanges, and call tracking and marketing analytics.

Talk to her about: software architecture, code conventions and security practice. A particular passion for incorporating generative AI into engineers' workflows without them losing their humanity (or will to live), and machine learning's intersection with geospatial data.

Outside work: Books, books, books and a solid rotation of crafty pursuits: knitting, sewing, whittling, the occasional bout of printmaking. Particular enthusiasms include hiking to where other people aren't, and paddleboarding or swimming in lakes, cold ones included.
