Ersin Buckley

Ersin leads Product and Engineering at myWorksites: owning the roadmap, working directly with customers and Road Controlling Authorities to validate what's actually worth building, and staying hands-on with code as a regular part of his week, alongside line-managing much of the engineering team.

He carries a set of responsibilities that can really only work if you're equally comfortable setting product direction and writing the code yourself, which is exactly the thread through his career: NZ b2b and b2g platforms, with a consistent focus on regulatory, geospatial and data-heavy systems. Highlights include scaling a real-time data pipeline sixteen-fold, securing government accreditation for sensitive data storage, and, most recently, leading the team that onshored a payments and entitlements platform for an international company. Across all of it, the throughline is building and leading teams, and, more recently, leading the push to responsibly embed AI-assisted development practices across both engineering and product. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Waikato.
